About Me

My photo
Hello, my name is Jamie. I am a stay at home mom of two from Coeur d'Alene, ID. I have 2 children, a girl and a boy. We are fortunate to be able to homeschool and this year we began the new adventure of high school. I am blessed to have been married to my soul mate for over 17 years now and look forward to countless more years and memories. My favorite thing to do is to scrapbook and I have been scrapping for over 22 years.I enjoy learning new techniques and discovering that I can never push myself too far. When it comes to scrapbooking I firmly believe that there are no rules except the ones you break!

Painting Fun

Well, it has been awhile since I've done a blog post. So, I'm going to have to go back in time a little bit. A few weekends ago we decided to paint the kids rooms and the entertainment area downstairs. Big job, but great rewards. So, I spent all of Friday getting the kids bedrooms emptied out and  you can see below how crazy our loft looked all weekend. We definitely had a deadline (which always helps) as we were hosting lifegroup that week. So, paint all day and paint all night is what we did. Check out the progression below.

The Loft

Elijah's empty bedroom

The blue is up

The kids playing around on the empty bunk bed.

Not quite finished, just the trimming to go - the fun part ughhh!

His room somewhat finished. Just need to add to the decor a bit, but mostly finished.

Grace's room emptied, taped off, and primered uptop.

Grace's room, starting to put it back together.

A bit dark, but her room is finished!

So, for the entertainment room, the original plan was to paint it moody blue (same as Elijah's room) but once I saw it up on the wall I knew it wasn't going to work. So we decided to use Hopsack instead, which was supposed to be for our bedroom. But, that's ok we have plenty of similar colors remaining that we can do our room in.
The entertainment room emptied out and ready to go.

The kitchen taped off, Brandy Wine will go on the bottom wall-but that is for another time.

Jason is getting the job done!

Almost there! Will have to update you on this room later.

Well, I hope you enjoyed our painting journey. We are far from done as we still have the kitchen, our room, the two bathrooms upstairs, and the loft to paint. But, we have accomplished much and I'm happy with the results so far!
