Well, a lot has happened in the last couple of months that is not Disney related, so I thought I'd post some pictures from our recent happenings. From the end of the school year to summer firsts - it has been adventures already! In this post and the next I'll share some pictures and events from May and June.
Grace is taking a cooking class at the Young Chef's Academy here in town. She is in class with two of her school mates which makes it fun! She has been taking this class since the beginning of March and each week they learn within a different theme.
Each month has a theme. Last month was Italien and for the month of May it was Bake Sale. So, everything they bake falls under that theme.
Each week they earn more and more responsibility in the kitchen. Grace was excited when I picked her up one day because they were aloud to use the sharp knives. Not only do they cook, but they learn kitchen safety as well!
It seemed like a great investment considering you always need to be able to cook food for yourself and eventually your family. And, it's always fun to taste what you cook. If I show up early enough to pick her up then I get to try the food as well!
Elijah and Jason invested in a new hobby, so some new boy toys! This is Elijah's new ATV. He is absolutely loving riding around on it.
We take them out to the fields near our house for now. But, Elijah and Jaosn have an ATV safety class coming up so that they can ride them out on the Federal lands.
Just love the sunsets around here!
That is Grace playing around in the field.
Kids enjoy playing on Snapchat. We just play, hardly send them out but it is fun all the same.
Grace's school friend, Leah, had a birthday party that a few of the girls attended. They had a blast with homemade pizza, camera cookies, making eatable makeup, and enjoying a scavenger hunt.
Grace always enjoys having her friend Taylor over to play. She was a our neighbor when we lived in Spokane Valley and they moved to Rathdrum. Soon after we moved to Coeur d'Alene so we are not that far away from her!
A friend of mine from Bible Study sells Marykay and she came over to give us the Spa treatment. The girls thought this was awesome!
Elijah had his friend, Daniel, over for the day. It was a fun day!
We walked down to the park to play around a bit. The kids played 4-square and basketball.
This is a close friend of Grace's whose name is also Grace. I call them Gigi when they are together.
My BFF came over for a visit, from Gilbert AZ. She and I had a great time catching up and wandering around Coeur d'Alene. We hiked Tubbs Hill and Q'emiln hiking trails.
She took a spin on the new ATV as well.
We got our nails done, which Grace joined us for.
For my birthday a few of my lady friends and I went out to dinner at Dockside. It was beyond good and of course great company!
On a normal birthday celebration Jason takes me to the Wolf Lodge for steak, one of my favorite places to eat! It never disappoints, best steak ever!
After a break from eating amazing food, we stopped by Cold Stone for my favorite ice cream Peanut Butter Cup Perfection - and yes it is perfection!
On my actual birthday it was officially Memorial Day and we spent the afternoon with some great friends at a BBQ!
Ladies Retreat for our church, we are headed out on our excursion - a scavenger hunt. But, necessities first - a coffee stop is a must!
Well, that's a wrap for May. Come back soon and I'll fill you in on June!
Thank you for stopping by!
Blessings,
